Stella Metal Bed

Update your bedroom with this platform bed frame and all its traditional charm – plus, some modern practicality. It's crafted from steel in a classic silhouette and comes with wooden slats that eliminate the need for a box spring. The design features an elegant slatted headboard showcasing vintage-inspired turns details and a softly arching top, paired with a matching footboard to complete the look. What's more, the 10" under-bed clearance means there's also plenty of room for a couple storage bins.

I did a lot of research regarding the weight capacity of metal beds. We have a king size black beauty rest mattress that works best with box springs so the total mattress weight has to be around 200lbs. My husband and I combined are just under 400 lbs. so I wanted a minimum of 700 lbs to more than cover. Also my husband is 6’2” and I was concerned about his feet getting caught in the footboard. We tested it without the box springs because the bed doesn’t require those. He didn’t have any issues but we ended up adding the box springs anyway. Now the bed with the springs goes higher than the footboard. The mattress height alone is 14 inches and box springs add about 4 inches. The bed frame is heavy at just under 103 pounds so that was important. I didn’t want a lightweight frame. The decor on the head and footboard is beautiful, gives an antique vibe like the bed my grandmother had but no squeaking. We have slept on this for just under a week and there is no sound. We were able to put this together is about twenty minutes. The instructions are clear with numbers for connecting pieces that slid into place easily. We did use the rubber mallet included to secure each piece. Love the bed, very happy with the sturdiness and look.. Linda. Kansas City, MO. Thu Sep 10 2026

The bed features spindle details and decorative ball joints for a timeless aesthetic. Rounded edges soften the overall look, while four straight legs with supports in the middle carry the design. This standard bed requires a box spring underneath the mattress of your choice, both of which are sold separately.

Love the bed! One of the things I was told when purchasing the bed was that I needed a box spring. It comes with good sturdy cross rails. You don’t need a box spring. Other than that it’s a beautiful bed.. Sherry. Mon Oct 12 2026

Good bed for the price. Nice transitional style.. Sarah. Odessa, TX. Wed Jun 10 2026

This platform bed updates your home with a vintage-inspired look that blends seamlessly into any traditional or farmhouse setup. Constructed from steel, it features a slatted headboard and footboard that introduce an airy, open profile to your arrangement. Center support legs work alongside the perimeter frame to deliver a stable sleeping foundation that handles everyday use smoothly. Because the system includes its own steel slats, your mattress rests directly on the base to simplify your setup. Plus, it features an adjustable headboard height so you can easily customize the clearance to suit your specific mattress thickness.

The bed frame is simple but quite pretty and sturdy. The low profile footboard doesn’t cut into a small room - helps to keep it open. And there are two height choices. The taller choice allows for a nice space underneath for storage. The only thing I worry about is the plastic spacers that keep the crossbars for the platform in place. If a person needed to take the bed apart for any reason, I would worry that those spacers would wear out.. Michele. Harlingen, TX. Thu May 14 2026

Six replacement chairs were received. Four of those chairs are damaged as well. The packaging appears to be the issue. The hardware is placed inside the cushions of the chair, and through shipping, is causing damage to the cushions. I will attach the pictures again. I reported this yesterday.. Sherrie. Broken Arrow, OK. Wed Sep 30 2026
