If we had one complaint, it's that ours needed to be aired out for several weeks; it came with a very strong, unpleasant odor, (noticeable only when one of the doors was open). This piece has some curves in it in the design in front that I wasn’t expecting. It is solid wood. Each compartment is shut off from the next, even on the side with both doors that open. It is a pretty imposing piece. I did measure the space. I wish there were dimensions of the height of the shelves provided - some items I had hoped to fit, don’t. Deriving inspiration from urban storefronts, the recessed panels hold a bit more of the stain and enhance the play of light across the front of this unique sideboard. Three drawers are in the center and are flanked by a pair of doors that open to reveal the shelf within. The sleek metal pulls and metal base add additional visual and design impact.

Sideboard I received looked dramatically different from the photo. Instead of a warm black and brown, it had cool gray and blue undertones.
