This chair is perfect! Totally worth the money.. Donna M. Santa Monica, CA. Mon Feb 08 2021

This Gesture chair was designed by Steelcase to be confident, intentional, and highly evolved with simple sophistication. The design was meant to inspire confidence that it would deliver a great experience time and time again. The key design driver was to fundamentally rethink the chair based on the movement of the human body and the way we work today. Gesture won the Neocon Gold Award in 2013.

Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA. The Steelcase series 2 chair has technology featuring an innovative geometric design that flexes in two dimensions, supporting each part of your spine for responsive, personalized comfort and fit. The tilt mechanism is synchronized; the seat and back work in harmony with each other, keeping the body securely supported in the chair and feet firmly planted on the floor so you can recline without leaving your optimal zone for seeing and reaching your work. This model includes an adjustable seat depth, fully adjustable arms (raise up and down, pivot in and out, shift forward and back, and side to side), pneumatic seat height adjustment, recline tension adjustment, flexing plastic mesh back, and upholstered seat. The seat features strong yet pliable foam which conforms to the body and creates pressure-free comfort. The flexible seat edge offers a bit of bend, right where you need it – relieving pressure points under your thighs. This chair will arrive unassembled and require some assembly covered by the Steelcase warranty.

Chair is very high quality, it has a very solid feel and is really well made. Assembly took less than a minute and required no tools. Lots of seat adjustments and overall a great purchase. The only thing I'm not exactly crazy about is that the seat cushion is pretty hard and can get uncomfortable after a while. Overall I don't regret the purchase. Great chair.. Matt. Aurora, IL. I spend a lot of time on my computer editing photographs and this chair is a comfy, good posture reminder. Only negative is that the "freedom component" for the backrest doesn't work for me (pushes against me) as I am a 125 lb. weakling. Hahah. I think if you're a much larger framed and jacked person it may work for you.... Marianne. Sun Feb 12 2023

Have this chair at work (with headrest) so ordered for my office at home now we’re working from home more. It’s very sturdy and comfortable. Good lumbar support which was the primary reason I spent the money - I knew what I was getting for the price. Noticed an immediate difference with my sciatic pain. Assembly is very easy - no tools just attach the base to the seat. The thing I like about this chair is you can lean and the arms lean with you. Also the arms are adjustable.. Sandy. Aurora, IL.
