I purchased this to extend our usable space on our patio. It took 2 people about 5 hours in the Texas heat to put this together. We did have some experience with this type of assembly so that helped streamline things. It definitely needs to be anchored, but once it is the awning is quite stable. You will need at least 2–3 people for assembly, especially when raising and securing the frame. The parts for the frame were easy to assemble. The only step where I needed help was having three people hold the frame upright while I secured everything together. So far, it has held up great, even with the heavy winds in my area. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. I didn’t run into any issues during assembly, and all the required parts were included in the boxes—nothing was missing. Pretty nice and sturdy. It comes in 7 boxes + box with screens and curtains if that’s the model purchased. I wish the assembly instructions were in box one and that the instructions told you where the hardware was, The instructions and hardware are in box 5. Make sure all parts are not damaged before starting assembly especially the key structure parts. Some of my louvers were dented but the didn’t effect my assembly. They were replaced, but it took a week to get the replacements. Wayfair and manufacturer were responsive and easy to deal with but it took time to get the replacement parts. Dented pieces, some of the slat holders were not attached and not an easy fix. Some parts sent for the wood grain item which we didn't order. Inspect all pieces in all 7 boxes right away.
