I wanted a non-stick griddle that would be good for eggs or pancakes. I know these types of teflon non-stick pans are being fazed out for ceramic non-stick. I love love love this grill. Cooked my husband a steak on it and it came out perfect. I like that all of the fat collects in the bottom. I like that the handle folds in for easy storage.
