I was VERY pleased with the quality of this furniture. Other cabinets I have purchased only had a colored cardboard back. These had stained plywood backing. They supplied plenty of extra screws and nails. The instructions (only pictures, very little text) were easy to follow and helpful. All of the predrilled holes were properly aligned. Overall, this was excellent furniture at a reasonable price. This piece is perfect for my home. I almost did not order it because the description says it is black cherry , maybe they were describing the wood type and I was thinking color. Antique Black

The “rustic” antique black looks nice, but due to the ROUGH texture of the wood I think it will be extremely hard to dust. The dust clothe will catch in the wood. For the cost, I think I should have kept looking. I also believe that photos of the lower section should have been available to view. I do “like” the armoire, but I don’t “love” it. I guess it will do the job. I hung coats & jackets from the clothes rod and beneath the shelf I installed I put my capris. I used the other shelf in the lower section and placed my jeans in there. It’s very roomy. Note, it states there are 3 shelves and there were only 2 actual shelves in the unit. I guess if you placed 2 shelves in the upper section that you would have 3 separate spaces if you count the bottom of the upper area as the 3rd shelf. Hope picture helps if you’re trying to decide.. Armoire is exactly as described on the website. It is large but it can handle so much storage that less furniture is needed in the room. Really solid with good craftsmanship and finish. Shelves on both side are removeable if you want a larger section. Drawers have a smooth action and seem like they are durable. Also comes with hardware to secure it to a wall to avoid tipping, although it feels very stable so it seems like it'd take a lot to make it fall. There was some assembly required, unlike what the description said. Nothing too intense, the knobs for the drawers and cabinets and the legs had to be screwed on. Took less than an hour, and a lot of that was just removing the packaging. This thing is really heavy though so to get the legs on, you'll need 2 people to tip it. My Alnwick bureau has been moved so many times and been used in so many different decorative schemes that I struggle to remember exactly when it came into our house. It’s nice! More for a kids room short like others mentioned. The photo with the side table is misleading as I thought both pieces were together. I had to order a side table hoping the color matches.
