This hammock stand is HUMONGOUS! I ordered it based on reviews and size being meant for the 2-person hammock. I know there are two sizes available and with what I read, I’m supposed to get the bigger size. But when it arrived, my 2-person hammock’s chain couldn’t reach the hooks. While I don’t think this product is sturdy enough to hold a patio umbrella against wind, my thoughts are to use at the beach with a smaller umbrella. It is heavier when filled with water but I don’t think it’s “heavy duty” as advertised. I have been needing to get a new base for our umbrella for a while now. When I saw this one, I knew it would be the right choice. The base is very large and made of really thick plastic.
