These are amazing! I have slipped down our all wood tread stairs twice. The first time, I broke a coupla ribs. The second time I slipped I was three stairs from reaching the carpeted basement, holding our puppy. This last time I was just furious and fed up with them. I called a carpet place immediately and had someone come out to provide a bid for a runner but then? I just thought I'd check Wayfair. . . Wow. I am SO happy I did and with the help of all the five-star reviews on these, I ordered the closest color and best pattern. They are amazing!!! They adhere well to the treads, they fit the bullnose and I no longer have to clutch the railing like my life depends on it. Not to mention our little furry friend will be more likely to learn to go up and down, with these in place. If this is an item you need? Just buy them. Figure out which ones look best because they probably won't match your existing carpet, and then love your stairs. Also our steps are varying widths. We center the top stair in each flight, and then used a pattern to make sure the distance on the left side (in the image) was consistent. I am a discerning customer and it was important to me that these looked good and felt good under foot. They do both. With a nice finished edge all around, they lay flat and the adhesive makes them grip firmly.. Sue Brandon. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Tue Oct 20 2026

These are medium duty stair treads. This is my second purchase, the first set were used on my back stairs and have held up nicely for almost a year and a half and still perform and look good. I stapled them on the back stairs, but don't recommend doing that, the cheapo staples rusted. I used double-sided Gorilla tape on the current installation, I'll revisit this review in a year or so and report on how well the adhesion method held up.. Heather. Big Island, Hawaii. I have had these now for about 6 months and washed them once. They vacuum nicely, but they do slip on the hardwood floors. I would suggest a small strip of rug pad underneath to help secure them. Update at a year -- we quit using them. They have shown wear that doesn't easily vacuum.. Melissa. Dayton, OH. Wed Oct 14 2026
