The stair treads are exactly what I expected. Color is spot on and amazing slip resistant. I don’t think anything else will be needed to prevent slipping. Size options were a definite bonus . Love the look and feel of these stair tread mats but wish they didnt move around as much as they do. I bought these because my dog is aging and keeps sliding and slipping as she goes up and down the stairs. These carpet treads help her with her grip and are particularly helpful when it is raining. However, when our parents come over we remove them because they do slide around and I would hate for them to slip and fall. I love these for foot comfort. I just wish they were as deep as my first set I purchased from Wayfair (30"x 9 1/2"). These are only 8" deep. There were some treads that had flaws (loose gel under the clear film) so after talking to representative Jana (super nice and helpful) about them they are going to send me another set. I'm really happy with these stair carpets- it was hard to find ones with the correct dimensions for my staircase which has pretty thick edging, and in the color that matches my painted stairs and is textured. I was worried they weren't going to be soft/cushioned enough, but the cross texture feels comfortable on my feet and adds that extra traction I was looking for. All around a great purchase! *Some things to note- it was hard to peel the thin plastic off the back, so just take your time with it, and make sure the Velcro truly lines up with the carpet edge or it will look crooked and not stick right. When instructions say 2inches out, they really mean that. We were off by maybe 1/16th inch and it wouldn't stay folded underneath correctly.. Anonymous. Sun Jul 19 2026

These look nice and definitely help you feel more secure coming down the steps. At night we don’t have a hall light here currently and the help keep me from slipping. They are easy to install and sticky but can be adjusted at least once if you need to adjust them.
