The bed is good for a toddler. The rails are a little flimsy. My 2 yo can go in and out of it with ease and she can open and close the gate. I keep hitting my toes on the bottom of because it sits really low.. Ana. Houston, TX. Sat Apr 11 2026

This is a great bed. For the price we are really happy with it! We’re using it for our grandchildren. However, one thing you do need to know is a standard mattress doesn’t fit correctly. There’s about 3 to 4 inches on the top and the bottom that if a child was standing on the bed, their foot can go right down through. We are going to remedy it with some foam and some wood support. However, just beware of this issue. Other than that and the fact that the frame is too big for a standard twin mattress and too small for a twin XL. It’s a really great sturdy bed.. Patricia. working to get my toddler son’s room converted with a big boy bed. Got this one so we won’t have to worry about him rolling out.
