It came with a scratch dead center on the top. Small but still there. I was refunded a couple bucks. I can’t tell if it’s actual leather as there is no smell…which is okay. The legs were easily assembled. My cat likes it. It’s a little taller than my sofa but I think it will work. UPDATE: my cat likes it too much and the corners were easily damaged by claws.
