This light is perfect. I used to have a picture light that was hardwired, but now that I have downsized to an apartment, I was reluctant to install a new one. This light is just right. I love that it runs on a rechargeable battery that can be charged via USB. I bought an extra-long cable that would reach my outlet, ran the cable down behind the picture and my couch, and voila! And the installation was a snap. It has a very strong metallic plate that you attach to the wall with a couple screws, then you just place the light base against it (there's a little notch to make sure it's level) and voila! again. I wasn't sure the magnet would hold since I live right next to a train track, but it's sturdy enough to withstand the minor shaking when it goes by.
