Being this set is porcelain and not earthenware which is made by Churchill I was thinking its lighter in weight and easier to handle for my wife. I was looking for navy china and found this set. It has a lustrous floral pattern and the blue is intertwined with a light blue but not much-just enough to make it elegant looking. the bowls are nice size for cereal or salad ,soup.
