I like this rug a lot. But it is REALLY tough for my (Dyson) vacuum. The fuzz is crazy and I have to empty it immediately after going over the rug once. Also, because it’s very thick, my cat’s nails are doing damage. It’s weird that I’ve had much less expensive rugs that my cat has not been able to damage at all. This is a really beautiful, thick rug and looks far better than pictured because the colors are just a little bit brighter. The border is actually a dark brown, so the rug goes well with my brown velvet couch. I also like the mildly distressed look. I have never been disappointed by a Karastan rug and like every other one I've ever had, this one looks like a very high-end choice. The rug arrives folded and taped rather than rolled, so there were some creases when I first opened it. I unrolled it immediately, and most of the wrinkles relaxed within 24 hours. There are still a couple of minor creased areas, but I expect they'll flatten out with a little more time (or by taping the corners down). Overall, I'm very happy - it's soft underfoot, has a nice low pile that's practical for everyday living, and looks much more expensive than it is.
