We purchased the dryer and washer together and both have been great so far. I am only planning on speaking to the dryer though. First the positives, - The dryer uses heat pump tech, meaning no ventilation needed, which was a huge bonus for us. - It is noticeably gentler on clothes. - Dries clothes and comforters completely in a single cycle, without needing to rotate them. - It is very quiet, very different from what I've had in the past. - Lint trap is very easy to clean - With the app, it has a decent amount of features and customizations. - Looks very modern. Now the negatives, - Scatches easily. It already got a small scratch that happened during the install process. For the price, I'd expect better durability. - It take on average twice as long to dry clothes due to this being a ventless dryer. Just like the matching washer, I bought it for an upstairs laundry closet area where a normal size stacked washer and dryer just would not fit in my home. We are running the water lines next week and I honestly cant wait to get everything installed upstairs, but for now I’ve been trying it out in the basement and have been really impressed with it so far. One thing I had to learn at first is that heat pump dryers work differently than a traditional dryer. I was expecting clothes to come out feeling really hot, so at first I thought something was wrong, but once I read about how they work it made a lot more sense. It’s more energy efficient and much gentler on your clothes, which I really appreciate. The 40 minute quick cycle has been great for smaller loads, and I also love that you can set it to keep tumbling to help prevent wrinkles if you don’t unload it right away. The drum light is also a great feature and makes it much easier to see everything inside. Another thing I really like is the lint filter design. It has a nice double filter setup with very fine mesh that does a great job catching lint. I also love that this is ventless, because that opens up so many more options for where you can put it. It’s wonderful for spaces where you normally couldn’t install a dryer, and I also like that you can optionally hook it up to drain automatically instead of having to empty the water container. Another nice bonus is that it’s WiFi connected. I wouldn’t say that’s something I absolutely need, but it is really nice to have. It takes time to get used to it. Because is ventless it will heat up the room or space where the dryer is located. I found myself emptying the water tank twice after 5 loads. It does leave the clothes damp but you will just have to figure out the settings that works best for your clothes. Noise is minimal and the door is adjustable. It’s compact, so I wouldn’t expect it to replace a full-size washer for giant loads, but that’s not really the point. For towels, clothes, smaller bedding, and regular day-to-day laundry, it seems like a really nice option. I like that it still has a lot of useful features like the AI Smart Dial, steam settings, and a quick cycle that works great when you just want to wash a smaller load without waiting forever. It also looks really sleek, and the size is a big part of why I chose it. It will fit perfectly in a smaller closet area where having laundry upstairs is actually possible, which makes it feel like such a practical upgrade for everyday use. It feels like a very smart solution for smaller in-between loads and added convenience. Another nice feature is that it’s WiFi connected. I wouldn’t say that’s something I really need, but it has actually been super nice to have. Getting it connected was a little finicky and took a couple tries, and that would be my only tiny nitpick because otherwise this machine is 5 stars all the way. Once it was connected, everything worked great. If you’re like me and throw in a load of laundry and then completely forget about it for a day or two, the phone notifications are a lifesaver and can save you from having to wash the same load all over again like I usually do Overall, I think this is a great option for someone who wants the convenience of a washer in a smaller space or on an upper floor. I orderd my dryer from the LG web site. I was anxious because I wasnt sure how smooth it would go. As it turned out- evrything went well, even when I needed to change the delivery and installation date. Also, I researched and learned that I got a better price ordering directly from LG. I had a complicated install with it being a stacked unit and installed in a smaller, yet adaquate laundry closet. The installers were excellent and gained my full confidence. I absolutely love this washer-dryer set! It looks so cute in my little cottage bathroom! Stacking note: The bracket for the stacking kit will push the dryer slightly forward of the washing machine. Bought the washer with the pedestal washer and dryer to replace our older set that was too bulky. This set is sleeker and has the same heavy duty power as the first set we purchased. Love how you can add wash cycles from the app to your machine and the wash times, I feel are more economical. The controls take some getting used to but a few weeks and we've gotten the hang of it..
