I was really excited to find this table. It was exactly what I was searching for. Rustic, elegant, transcendent. The wood work is really beautiful. The color is soft and feminine, but could stand up against other colors, textures and vibes. I worried that the surface would be splinter-y especially for my young niece and nephew but it’s smooth and non threatening. Expect that there will be some small natural wood defects like this knot I shared a photo of, or some filled in cracks/splits. I think it adds to its natural charm, but if that isn’t the type of table you’re looking for this one may not be for you. Love this table! It is very dark brown... think espresso brown. Definitely not gray or ashy in color. But I love it! The inserts to expand the table go in and out very easily.
