We recently purchased a new mattress and it turned out to be not as soft as we'd hoped, so we purchased this mattress topper. It did come with some rust like marks on one side, but the other side looks just fine. I did tear it a little with my thumb when I was trying to position it better on the bed, which surprised me. Bought this for the primary bedroom. It is a little higher than I expected with my bed frame, but not so much that I need a ladder or step stool to get in bed. I wanted a mattress that was somewhat firm but had a pillow top. I found this. So far, and it has been a month, I love it. Nothing aches when I get up in the morning.
