I’m very happy with these speaker stands. They were straightforward to assemble, feel well made, and look much more expensive than they are. The black finish with the wood accent complements my vintage-inspired audio setup perfectly. The only thing I wish the instructions had made more obvious is that you’ll need dry sand if you want to fill the hollow columns for added stability before attaching the top plate. I attached heavy duty 2 x 2 inch sq Velcro fasteners to bottom of speakers and to the glass speaker shelf. With a bit of patience, I was able to run my 12 gauge speaker cable thru column of speaker stand (has a hole in top & bottom of column - to effectively hide speaker cable). Other than that, the stand is exactly as described. My only concern would be how fragile the other four rods are.
