Solid Wood Secretary Desk With Hutch

A place for everything and everything in its place – this transitional writing desk features multiple organizational drawers for all your office needs and space in the back for corralling your cords. This piece fits easily into home offices and bedroom corners alike.

I was a bit intimidated by the number of pieces and the instructions being mostly pictures with few words to clarify directions. But it all came together relatively quick and easy. Two points I changed the direction of D pieces so that the bolts were all on the inside of the drawer areas and not have to look at the stickers in the open shelf area. Much nicer. And be careful with step 9 as the back brace J center needs to be aligned when A is placed on top. Otherwise Im proud and happy with how it turned out and looking forward to using it for years to come.. Billyv. Orland Park Il. Sun Apr 05 2020

The design features built-in electrical and USB outlets to keep your devices charged, while integrated LED lighting on a dimmer lets you adjust the brightness as you work. A pull-out tray and keyboard tray expand your surface area when needed. Plus, the cabinet doors shut completely to keep your laptop and clutter out of sight when you're done for the day.

Overall, I absolutely love this desk! It did arrive with a few minor issues that Wayfair rectified. This is a solid piece of furniture. I would definitely recommend paying for the delivery and setup. The two compartments on the top lift up to open but sadly they do not lock in place to remain open, which could be a little inconvenient but there is a slow close on it so it does not slam closed. **TIP** there is a piece that covers the top so you can possibly sit items up there that is probably some type of mdf board and it probably blends in with the packaging and mine was thrown out, so just be mindful and ask for that piece. That is the only reason for the four stars.. Taji. Nanuet, NY. Fri Jun 19 2026

It’s beautiful and well crafted, but a little top-heavy and wobbly. I also didn’t expect the insert to not be attached! Easy fix though to just mount it to the wall.. Rosie. Maryland. Sun Jul 12 2026

Accented by hand painting on the drop-front lid, the secretary features a robust leather writing insert, 3 cubbies for storage, and 3 small drawers behind the drop-front, along with 3 lower drawers with self-closing drawer guides and cherry-colored interiors—pewter-colored pulls.

Feels like an antique one might purchase in Charleston. Very heavy. Had it in a bedroom and it worked as a desk and side table next to a bed. Now, it sits by the door for keys and mail as we enter the house. It works beautifully in that new spot as well.. M. Florida. Sun Aug 23 2026
