It's not great quality, and it's a bit sketchy the way the slats lay on the center thing, but it works for our 9 year old son! The plank for the two drawers on the bottom broke, might have been human error, however we did not use that much force and it broke, other than that the bed has been great so far. No pillows yet, but you can see the bed looks lovely. The 4 stars are for the difficulty in putting it together. It was very complicated and some steps were not clear. Also, there were a few boards that were warped. When we continued the build we were able to clamp down the warped pieces, but there was much drama to decide if we should quit before we got too far, in case the warp ended up making the bed unbuildable. The package is a tall box. If it needs to be transported to upper level or lower level must have help to do so. I just opened the package and took each piece to upper level. The packaging was great. Instructions were clear. Lots of extra pieces of nuts were given. Can’t go wrong anywhere with assembly. Each piece was very well made. There’s hardly any assembly. It probably takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum. The wood pieces are solid wood. Has very smooth finish. The texture of the finished surface is soft and gives expensive feel. Once assembled one can tell its sturdy construction. We’ve been using it for a month now and no creaking or any noise. Perfect for apartment size bedroom or guest bedroom. Very happy with purchase. Worked with Wayfair and the supplier when two side rails of the same type were sent. The storage units roll freely, unattached to the bed itself and can go deep under the bed if pushed too far.
