Nice chair but the seat height is not 19" as the specs stated....it measures 17-1/2". That discrepancy is the reason this chair did not get 5 stars. This mid century style chair is just okay. It does sit rather low and the seat cushion slides all over so we're constantly have to lift the back cushions to push it back in. The arms are quite low as well which makes sitting with your elbows on them awkward. The color we choose is orange and it matched our decor relatively well. The chair itself I like, it’s sturdy and make of heavy real wood. The chair is pretty comfortable though the quality of the cushions I don’t believe would hold up to long term use. This is in our basement so I think it will be fine for here and there. Why 4 stars The assembly was terrible. The instructions were not clear. They need to provide different Allen wrench, lucky got me my husband had a tool that helped or I was so frustrated. So get yourself the auto retract took or this will take forever to assemble due to the way the holes are set. Also note there should be another step they combined two and it was confusing to the point I had to take part off and redo. It does sit lower for a living room chair too so note that. I purchased 2 for my small living room. They’re lower than a normal chair, but sit pretty comfortably. Not sure how long the cushions will last. These chairs are sturdy. I was looking for a chair set for the fireplace wall and wanted something a little different and also a chair that had a tall back vs the barrel-type of chair. Although I measured the height of our sofa cushions - these chairs are even taller. I'm not totally sure I made the right choice design-wise. I tried to cancel the order in fact but missed the window to cancel. The chairs weren't overly complicated to put together - although a few things could have been clearer. The 2nd chair of course went much faster. Maybe 30 min per chair? I did it on my own. They are reasonably comfortable but only guests will use them - they are mostly there to add to the room decor. I also wish the wood was a darker brown, but I couldn't find what I wanted with darker wood so I compromised. My only complaint is that the manufacturer does not supply the furniture buttons to cover the screw holes which is a bit frugal in my opinion and would add to the look of the chair. I may go on line and see if I can find the right size. Also, the cushion on the bottom is not reversible - there are two strips of velcro on the bottom frame and on one side of the cushion to keep it in place. All in all not bad.
