Torn on this piece! I do like the real wood (it even smells like real wood) - and upon assembly it looks exactly like the product photo - which was the design that I wanted & preferred over other TV stand units. I did take a 'risk' on a product with no previous reviews, based on the general positive feedback of the vendor. To that point I will say the following: I have built numerous furniture items and do not attribute these complaints to "user error." Some connecting points between pieces were improperly aligned; the legs of the base would come together, but in such a way that there was not enough clearance between the bolt & the wood surface to screw/fit the nut onto the bolt. Additionally, some of the holes were not drilled deep enough to fit the screws into (see bottom screw hole of attached photo - filled in with wood) so the screws had to be forced through the wood. There was one case where the screw hole, fresh out of the box prior to any assembly, had already caused splintering into the exterior wall of the connecting joint (photo also attached). In total, there were only 6 parts: the 4 legs, the top piece and the bottom shelf. From unboxing to building to moving out the old TV stand to setting everything into place on the new TV stand, took about 45 minutes.
