This is a 'solid wood' desk but it still feels cheaply made. I have had lots of time to review the pieces as it did not come with assembly instructions. I have requested them and it apparently takes a whole business day to respond with the instructions that should have been included. If you think you may want assembly, make sure you order at the same time. My order gave me the option after the fact, and I tried to add the service and it charged my card. Then the message (and follow up chat) told me it wasn't eligible to add assembly. Now I have to wait 3-5 days for the charge to be reversed. This is a nice sturdy desk. It does take hours to put together but the instructions are easy to follow and very accurate. I gave it only 4 stars because of the time it takes and the fact that the electrical part of the desk could have been easier to hide cords and such. The drawer could have been made deep enough for this feature but for some reason it was not included in the design. Came well packaged. A few pieces chipped (small) and some dirty (cleaned up well). Desk is very lovely. Paid extra for assembly and that was fine as well. Issue, desk came in damaged. Very visible crack on top of the desk and is now sharp to the touch. Very disappointing. In the process of seeing what can be done since the desk has been assembled and was extremely heavy. Was delivered in five separate boxes. The adjustable height is very nice and works well. Also has the option to program different heights. Only wish it wasn’t damaged. I would recommend this purchase and would have given give stars but didn’t due to the damage piece.. Hortencia.
