This is a very nice-looking table. I like the dark color of the wood, I like the shelf underneath, and I like the rounded edges. The wood top is very smooth, too. Unfortunately, there is a little scratch right on the top that is noticeable. This didnt take more than about twenty minutes to put together. If there is something I would change, there are screws right on the legs where the lower shelf attaches. Those screws dont have any covers, and they are in spots on the legs that are clearly visible, so I just stare at flaws. And, this is just an aside I really dont understand why companies put labeling stickers in places where they could be problematic if they dont come off easily. One curious element was how the legs were strapped into the back of the table with staples — which detracted from my perceived vale of the table. I am editing my review after a couple of days of use and “sitting” with our purchase. Pros, I like the design element and details of the piping along the front and rear of the table. It gives great movement. I like the fact that the table has large storage space and functionality. I like how large the table is. I don’t care that the table itself doesn’t look or feel like real wood. It looks like particle board and has a hollow sound when you tap the top of it. It also wears fingerprints easily so I am going to have to constantly wipe down the table. That is why I gave 45 stars. Okay, so this arrived well-packaged and all parts included. And it's heavy! It went together very easily. It seems super strong and should hold up well under any kind of normal wear, including kids rough housing or whatever. It looks nice in our space. The one thing I'm not crazy about, and why I'm only giving it three stars, is how it feels. It's made of manufactured wood and is wrapped in some type of plastic or laminate. It doesn't feel like wood, and if you look closely, it doesn't pass for real wood. That said, the plastic wrapping probably makes it impervious to liquids, so spills and whatever would clean up easily and not damage the finish.
