It’s a nice, dense wood, unfinished desk and matching cabinet. I took a star off of the rating because the shipment was missing all three wooden knobs/pulls for the cabinet. I didn’t bother to ask for replacements because I plan to buy some decorative pulls for them anyway, but it was inconvenient that I had to scrounge up some old knobs just to be able to put the drawers in and use it in the meantime.. Our solid pine cottage series desk can be used as either a desk or a vanity. The solid wood turnings and drawer front treatment emphasize the quality. Drawers are constructed using real dovetail joints and wooden drawer runners.

This is nice and lightweight but still sturdy. I love that it is solid wood. You can assemble with drawers on whichever side you choose; it gives instructions for both ways.
