It’s a nice, dense wood, unfinished desk and matching cabinet. I took a star off of the rating because the shipment was missing all three wooden knobs/pulls for the cabinet. I didn’t bother to ask for replacements because I plan to buy some decorative pulls for them anyway, but it was inconvenient that I had to scrounge up some old knobs just to be able to put the drawers in and use it in the meantime.. The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale.
