Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. The Paneled Manufactured Wood Primed Barn Door Without Installation Hardware Kit is produced using MDF medium-density fiberboard. The 2 Panel MDF barn door has the design router carved on both the front and back of the door. All hardware including sliding track and handles are sold separately. The door is primed with an in-house white primer.

The doors were very heavy, and they were not squared. I was disappointed because of the price I had to pay for each door. One side was longer, therefore, if you look at the top, they are not leveled while the bottom was. Before you put them up, check to see that they are the same length on both sides. I installed two of these doors in a recent bathroom remodel and am very happy with them. They look great and were fairly easy to build. One piece on one of the doors required light sanding to make it fit with into the pre-cut holes but otherwise no issues. Two notes: 1. There is a strong odor at unboxing. I recommend building these outside, if possible, and definitely leaving outside for a few days to off-gas before installing on an interior project. I left them on my balcony. 2. The package includes all the barn door and hardware kit you need to install a sliding barn door. The barn door hardware kit can be used both inside and outside. This door requires two people to assemble, it is not a traditional one-piece barn door. Pilot holes on the door are all pre-drilled and cut. The wooden panels can junction with each other for a tight fit. It is an unfinished barn door, you can easily paint it as you wish. Please leave the door dry for at least 24 hours. The barn door will work perfectly with our sliding hardware kit and door handles. The bottom of the door had a pre-cut groove to fit with the floor guide, preventing the door from swinging back and forth.

Is there a way to get touch up paint there were a lot of white spots on door. Came prepainted but the spots very noticeably missed otherwise I love the door worked well in my kitchen. Also had a few deep gouges upon arrival on few of the outer pieces tried to hide them. Will need to putty them and repaint. Sorry on its side hasn’t hung yet.. Jc. CT. Mon Feb 20 2023
