I really like that this real wood. That was the selling point for my purchase. No MDF or particle board. It’s not solid oak or anything like that, but it is indeed real wood. What I think could be improved is labeling the pieces for assembly. Even little stickers would help. I understand I’m not building a rocket ship, but trying to figure out which side is which would be helpful. What I didn’t like. When I tapped down the top of the bookcase I had to use a little force. One of the dowels popped right through the top and left a good-sized hole. Overall, it’s the least expensive real wood bookshelf I could find in my price range. Very solid piece. The color is nice and the assembly was easy. I’m using the piece in my craft room closet and it’s just lovely.
