Works excellent! Built it with a solar pump kit (SKU: W120104564 sold by Wayfair) and fountain runs 24/7 and only turns off when water gets low and the pump safety valve turns it off so it doesn’t burn out the motor. When screwing the fountain pieces together let the pieces find their groove on the threads so the fountain stays level and is not lopsided once all together. If converting to solar you will need to pop out the rubber gasket that is in the middle of the bottom tier of the fountain. Split the rubber gasket at the seam and remove the electrical cord for the included pump and replace it with the cord for the solar pump. Use GE 100% Silicone sealant to fill any gaps/ spaces in the center of rubber gasket/ plug, reseal the seam with silicone and spread silicone around the outer edge of the plug/ gasket and put it back in the base, let set for 24 hours before adding water. Nice, resin dish! It is, looks and feels like plastic, if you are wondering about that. The color is accurate in the description. It is a large saucer. Standard saucer mounts from my research are 4.5 inches. This works on 4.25 and has notches like threads to hold it in place. The fountain is a great purchase. It arrived on time, was well packaged and was easy to assemble. The package includes medium-sized rocks for the base which was a great touch. The waterfall noise is very gentle. I added pebbles to the leaves (as another reviewer suggested) to increase the waterfall noise. This has been a great addition to my patio.. Kristin.
