This thing is amazing! I would prefer the option to have a softer yellow tone light in addition to the bright white, but it fits my needs. Needed a light out near the chicken coop/run but too far from nearest electrical feed to run anything permanent. This fits the bill. I have it on the mode where the light stays on low but comes on bright when approached or when it signals motion from a predator. Lights up the area very well for night time feeding/cleaning activities. I will remove the water from base and replace with sand before winter. Only thing I would change would be an option for an off/motion on mode rather than just low light/bright motion. Love that we can put it anywhere we need more light.. Robert. Leroy, OH. Unfortunately, the flickering flame lanterns were both damaged at the bottom of the frames when we got them. We got new ones shipped out immediately, they arrived the next day.
