I've had one of these before but this one came packaged MUCH different and better protected. The fountain is easy, all you have to do is hook up the water pump, the only odd thing is once you've dropped the pump into the water, and the cord comes out, the cover that goes on the back has no cutout for the cord, it's just solid, which doesn't really work, but I was able to get it to stay, just not able to put the screw back in the way it arrived. My fountain was easily assembled however the problem I discovered was that in order to use the light, I needed two outlets and I already was using one for my patio lights. So I plugged the light to the fountain into the automatic timer and it comes on now when my outside lights do. It works perfectly and l’m pleased. The sound was very important to me because I’ve had fountains before that made a hollow sound and not very relaxing, this one is soothing as it cascades over the rippled edges and doesn’t splash outside the fountain.. I gave this 4 stars. I ordered two different fountains from wayfair this week. One is real rock, this one isn’t, while you can’t tell from the online picture you can definitely tell in person hence my minus 1 star.
