This item was way heavier than I was expecting. It did not come with directions. There was a button in the back under the umbrella, I pushed it and the lights came. I turned it off and let it sit in the Sun for about 8 hours. I then put my hand over the sensor on top and turned the light on and it worked. I then removed my hand from the sensor and the light turned off. So I knew it would turn on and off when the light changed. I ordered one and one of the “feathers” was bent and paint was cracked. I notified Wayfair and they sent another at no charge. They also said I didn’t need to return the original.
