It has 2 functions: 1 is turn it on automatically when detected the motion and 1 is turn the light all the time when it is dark. I really recommend it for someone looking for a new solar light!. I’m reviewing this prematurely. Haven’t even see the solar lights on at night yet, but these fit perfectly on our existing fiberon symetry decking railings.
