These took a very long time to ship, but once they arrives - wow are they gorgeous. They charged without issue through the first day I had them There is a switch on the bottom for "Off", and then two options, steady on, or flicker. Sadly, Wayfair doesn't allow for video uploads here, but the flicker is very realistic, and bright. You can't "read" by them, they they do provide ambiance that I was looking for. They appear to be water resistant, but I certainly wouldn't leave them exposed to the elements for a long period of time. They have alligator clips on the ends of the chains so you can attach them to hang, rather than trying to find something to hook them onto with a simple ring to hang. Highly recommend!. Kimberly. Although the paint job isn't the greatest, it won't show because the food will cover it up. Plus, I don't think the critters really care...as long as the feeder is kept filled! The feeder is of solid construction, it's beautiful, both by day and night. To fill it, simply pop out the solar cap--took a couple minutes to figure that out.
