These solar lights are beautiful but I have tried and tried to remove the plastic cover off the solar panel area on one of them. I even read that I could use warm water and that did not work. I also read you can warm it up with a blow dryer and that did not work. I am being extra careful to not damage the surface. So I bought all three versions of the air balloon, solar lantern, this being the rainbow version. I believe this is a much newer model than the other ones as it has a light that goes down into the basket as opposed to the other ones. This one also came in more modern Styrofoam that doesn’t fall apart with little pieces of it all over your house static electricity stuck to your walls forever. Please make sure it can be exposed to direct sunlight. Insert it into soft soil or dig a hole for it in advance. We recommend keeping the solar panel clean always. They are IP65 waterproof so they can withstand rain, but they cannot be put into water for a long time, please don't lay them in a low-lay area to avoid soaking in water.
