A beautiful, well made sofa. The fabric is luxurious and soft to the touch. The stitching and construction details are on par with much more expensive furniture. It is not so clear from the photos and description but the moveable “armrests” actually are the arm and back rests. Adjusting one side back, the sofa can transform effectively into a sectional with a “chaise lounge” configuration, or into a bed if you put back both sides, all without changing its’ footprint. With the armrests in the forward position the sofa is extremely comfortable with very comfortable seat depth. The change is very easy to do. The cushion is on the firm side, but very comfortable. Although this sofa was a little pricey for an online purchase, it is replacing an extremely expensive high end brand name sofa I bought that was more than 4 times the price. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. As several other reviews have mentioned, the assembly while straightforward is a little tricky. The couch arrives in three different boxes. One box has the bench seat which contains the legs and cushions inside the bottom of it. You will need two people minimum to assemble this couch. Once you lineup, the pieces like the arm and the seat you will have to push down, but you won’t see it going in so you have to line it up really well before you start pushing it in. it’s easy to get one side in and then not get the other side in. for the first arm attachment, we stood the seat up on its end, making it easier. with two people it took about 30 minutes to unpack it and assemble it. The legs look OK but they’re just inexpensive plastic so they’re not that beautiful. You might want to replace them with custom legs. Luckily there are lots of places that sell really cool furniture legs if you want something nicer. I think the couch is very comfortable. It has a generous size seat. It is a firmer couch, but the wide arms are really comfy to lean on and it’s comfortable when you stretch out on it. It looks really great. The fabric is nice and the pillows are very high-quality.
