I was pleasantly surprised by this item. I ordered knowing it was a cheaper buy but I am very pleased with it. Comes in one big heavy box. Very easy to put together. Comes largely put together and you have to slot in a couple of pieces and that is it. Took 15 mins with 2 of us. Fabric is surprisingly good for the price and is nice to the touch. The seat part of the sofa is not hard but not soft. I would say medium to soft but this is understandable given it is a sofa bed and I am overall very impressed with its comfort. This is a great oversized, fold out arm chair. It is comfortable to sit in, and the bed (I ordered the upgraded mattress option) is comfortable enough that my 9 year old often chooses it over a standard bedmattress. My one disappointment is the fabric and sewing is low quality. I will eventually have it recovered in a performance fabric and having piping added. Love the Quaility and modular construction. Very easy to put together. Day 2 of delivery and still see a little sign of compression on back cushions but expect that to decompress with time. The microfiber material seen very good in Quaility. My only minor issue was a few springs on the pull out had fallen out and need to be reinstalled but nothing after that. I would recommend it. This is nice quality, but I would not call it a mattress, I would call it a nice memory foam topper. This is not something you can just put on the floor and have guests sleep on, it’s not thick enough or firm enough. I’m going to use this on top of an air bed for guests so it will be a great mattress topper, but the name of the product is just a little bit misleading, even though they say it has to be used in a camper, etc. If you purchase this to use as a mattress alone, you will be disappointed, however, if you purchase it to use as a nice mattress topper, I think you will be very pleased with the quality.. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area.
