This is a great litter pan. It’s very sturdy and waste material scoops out very easily. My only problem is that I bought it to fit inside the Mize litter box enclosure and checked the measurements carefully. The pan would have fit perfectly; however, there is a lip around the edge that made it just a smidge too large and the litter box enclosure would not close. I am using this as a 'cup' to hold a large kitty litter box. My cats are large, and they tend to knock over the regular covered litter box, so I purchased this one to 'hold' the regular kitty litter box inside of it. My cat and I absolutely love this box! He is a 15 lbs boy so he needs his box to be large, especially because he's a "long" kitty rather than a chubby one. This one now is his favorite box and I think the reason is because it's open-top. At first I wasn't sure I wanted to see his business while walking past it, and that it would be so stinky because it's open. But after a month of testing it, it actually isn't bad at all. The stainless steel doesn't trap oders almost at all! Once I clean his mess, it's completely gone. No scratched floor, no plastic that holds on to any stinky smell, and it doesn't stain at all. Cleaning it is a breeze and nothing sticks to the bottom that requires scraping. Also I was worried that urine would leak out from the area where the top half connects with the base bin, but so far no issues. Unless your kitty sprays too high, I’m thinking this should work perfectly. It comes with its own scoop that can be hung to the side wall of the box as shown in the picture (although it isn't my preferred scooper as I like metal ones better). Very pretty unit! It does a great job containing the odors from the litter box in the living room. It also does a good job containing the debris inside on the mat I put in there. I made considering buying a larger litter box later than the one I bought for it, but for now it works great. My cats had no problem adjusting to it.
