This chair arrived two days ago, opened up a day later and spent 1 1/2 hours assembling it (quite hot outside) and another 20 minutes finishing it this morning. The reason it took so long was because two of the large bolts were hard to seat all the way and had to be removed and reinserted with a vice grip. However, the chair is now fully assembled and seems very solid. It is obviously large and well designed for a big guy, as I am 6' 2" and weigh 230 lbs. Simply put, I feel very comfortable sitting in this chair in any of the 3 positions! My wife is now designing & making a seat cushion & headrest. Just know I'll have many years of relaxing/reading under my favorite mango tree.. Joe. FL. Thu Nov 09 2017

First off, I own many polywood chairs and items and their products are top notch. Quality is superb. This Adirondack chair is the same. Easy to assemble, looks great, functions great and excellent quality. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the hardware kit was not complete and we were missing 4 of the screws. I did contact Wayfair and Polywood got them sent out, but it was still a hassle to get the hardware just to finish assembling the chair for use.. April. Kittanning, PA. Sat Mar 14 2026

These are nice chairs, look good and are sturdy. If you plan to keep them in the shade or in a covered porch or patio then you should be fine. It can take a little water and sun exposure from time to time, but as long as its not exposed to the elements 24/7, it should be fine. We planned to keep this out in the yard and made the mistake of choosing these wooden chairs instead of HDPE. We live in Florida, and get extreme sun and also very heavy and frequent rain. It lasted about 3 years in reasonable shape and by the 4th year it is ready to be discarded. Just ordered new HDPE chairs now.. Saurav. Land O Lakes, FL. Fri Jul 24 2026

This chair fits perfectly in with my other Adirondack chairs surrounding our firepit. We replaced it with one that was wearing down and this one is much better. I really like that it has cup holders on both sides so no worrying about where to sets your drinks down. It’s made well and no splinters when sitting down!
