I did not purchase this to use as a desk. I needed a corner vanity and did not want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect for the budget and worked out great! The directions were very straightforward and easy to follow with the exception of the final step of placing the top shelving to the bottom base. The two sections in the corner as I show in the picture want to separate. This requires two people. I assembled this by myself and it took several hours. It is a great piece of furniture for a gaming desk or to use as a vanity. The light strip is a straight continuous wire and does not have an L shape to allow for the corner and sticks out. It is not brown it is white but I wanted it so that’s not a problem, it’s a nice sturdy little desk the only “negative” is that the top part where it shows you can set your laptop or monitor doesn’t adhere to the desk it just sits on top so it does move around, great for people that want that feature, not so much for people that want it to not move. This is an AWESOME piece of furniture. I was looking for the perfect desk to fit between the wall and a treadmill in a spare bedroom, and this was the exact dimension needed. It was very easy to assemble and I love that the drawers are lightweight fabric. This fit my need for easy and functional. I also love that this came with little corner guards on the edges of the desk. if you need a sit-stand desk for your home office that won't break the bank, this is the option for you. My company offers ergonomic online consults and noticed my old-fashioned leather top wood desk was too high for my height. Therefore, she recommended I get a sit/stand desk as it will be lower and will give me the option to stand during the day esp. meetings. The company does pay for them, so it was an added bonus. This one was a good option. Pretty easy to put together, just have to be organized from the start...put all the right parts together, etc. Took about 45 minutes to put together as I did go slow and do it on my own.
