This shelf looks beautiful, but installation was more difficult than expected. It was challenging to align and level the two wood pieces during assembly. I also don’t feel the base is sturdy enough to handle the pressure of a traditional pump hand soap dispenser. To avoid putting stress on it, I switched to an electric soap dispenser. These shelves are sturdy and look great! The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 (and I would give them 4.5 if this were an option) is the difficulty in mounting them. I am no stranger to a drill, which is absolutely necessary for mounting, but because the holes for the molly bolts are large and fairly close together, I ended up with one big hole in my drywall as the two holes collapsed into one when I started putting in the molly bolts. As a result, I had to adjust the location in order to cover it up the hole. Also, they are made for drywall, so if your placement is on a wood beam, you are kind of screwed (no pun intended ;-] ) unless you plan ahead and use a different kind of screw, which is not included.
