They are easy to put together. Positioning the slipcovers for a perfectionist was, of course, tedious. They look great. The mechanism swiveling and rocking is very smooth. The bottom cushions’ slipcovers are like cotton lining fabric. They don’t show and you can wash them, but you cannot flip them. These are inexpensive,but don’t look it. Not 5 or 10 year chairs. I am so freaking happy about the quality of this chair. Online purchases are such a risk, for quality and comfort. But this chair nails it on both. I sink right into it in the best way possible. I was nervous about it looking sloppy too, because some of the review pics made it seem like the slip cover was messy but it's not and it steamed out beautifully. The chair requires some assembly, which only takes about 15 minutes to get everything out of the box and ready to sit on.
