It is a beautiful chair but it is very tall and takes over the room. I’m not sure if it is going to work for the space I bought it for. It is hard to keep it in the layback position. The chair does fully recline to an almost horizontal mode you just need to pull the chair away from the wall if you have it close to allow space. It comes in two pieces and assembly is simple, but it’s quite heavy, so you’ll likely need help getting it into place. I’m taking off one star because of the packaging. The back legs aren’t protected, and mine arrived cracked. The first one I received had a completely broken leg and had to be returned. Given the size and weight of the box, this feels like an avoidable issue. The reclining mechanism is a bit stiff at first and can catch you off guard, but I expect that to improve with use. Overall, it’s an elegant chair that fits well with different decor styles. One heads-up: unpacking takes some effort. It is a beautiful color and shape. It rocks quietly, swivels effortlessly and is firm and fairly comfortable. I am not pleased that the footrest is so short. I’m 5-6 and my feet dangle over the end past my ankles. A measurement from the reclined position would have been nice to include in the description. I’m also not fond of the cloth flap on the footrest and the fact it isn’t solid but I guess that’s due to the price being lower than most others on the site. These recliners in navy are very nice and comfortable. They have more of a sturdy cushion and straight backs. Good for us getting older and our friends to get out of. We needed some color in the room and the blue is a little dark but pretty. These recliners push back to raise your feet up…..no buttons or arms. No electric cords to try and hide.
