It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. HOWEVER, right side panel did not install flush to the front by about 1/32", which was enough to cause the back panel to not slide into the grooves. The wood is of nice quality and not just a finished particle board which makes the price very reasonable for the quality of the furniture. The assembly took a little over an hour but was not difficult nor was following the instructions with all tools and screws included, you just have to assemble every piece including the drawers. This is a work horse. It is very strong and holds a lot and was pretty easy to put together. I am giving it only 4 stars instead of 5 because I did not like the MDF fake dark wood.
