I read the reviews before purchasing this bed. I was prepared for the assembly even had a saw handy for the slats. It went together fairly easy. I followed the instructions step by step. I had the help of my 75 year old Aunt. We completed it in less than two hours. My only issue was the slats were not all predrilled and the screws provided were less than great. The dogs LOVE this little transformable love seat. It is way harder than I prefer for my sitting or lounging and at 55 I cannot lay across the couch . During the day when we arent home we recline it all the way back for the dogs to be able to stretch out on, they like it because it stays cooler than fluffy fabric. In the evenings we sit the back up and sit and hang out with the neighbors. It is very easy to recline the back, it was very easy to put together, its just not something Id want to use as a main piece of furniture in our home.
