Bright light with a compact design. The base is a nice warm gold tone. For me it’s limiting because the only way to turn it on is via the button on the wire at the base but where I have to plug it in the button is under other furniture. I love this lamp. I had one that I have had for serval years that was in my home office. I wanted to move this into my bedroom next to our nightstands, once I did so I knew this was exactly the look I was wanting in there. This is a perfect little floor lamp. I like the on off switch that I can step on to turn on as I walk to sit in my chair. It is well made, and the perfect height to sit over my brown reading chair.
