This is the cheapest plastic junk I have ever seen. Thin materials, holes don't line up, and the whole thing weighs less than 10 lbs fully assembled so I have low expectations that it won't tip over. The space between the shelves is too narrow for work or hiking boots so the utility is really only for sneakers or low heels. I’m really pleased with this shoe rack. The expandable design is a great feature, and it actually holds more shoes than I expected based on the photos. It has a compact footprint, so it fits nicely in smaller spaces without looking bulky or unattractive. It’s also surprisingly sturdy while remaining lightweight enough to move around easily. One thing to note is that if you move it after it’s assembled, it can separate into two pieces, but it’s simple to put back together. It does the job! At first I thought the pegs on the vertical bars didn’t fit at all into the slots on the layer boards; it turns out they do but you need to jam them in there HARD. There’s no screws/nails; the rack is held together by tenon & mortise joints, so the pressure/tension/tightness is supposed to be like that.
