I just finished assembling this gazebo. It took me about 3 days with little help from my wife. Instructions are eazy just make sure to look at the directions of parts. ***** Five stars for quality, but be warned: 1. You will need three or four strong people to put the heavy basic structure together and into place, and two people for the rest of the construction. 2. This is not a weekend project for a DIYer. 3. If you can, hire someone with experience. We did, and it was worth every penny. 4. Instructions were fairly good, but missing some crucial information that took some time to figure out. 5. Once figured out, all parts fit together well and pre-drilled holes lined up. 6. There are lots of painstaking details, like fastening thin pieces of weatherstripping around inside and outside of all plastic panels, to name but one. BUT, once put together, this is a very good-quality, beautiful room. We purchased a ceiling fan that converts to a heater and hope that, here in Ontario, we can use it as a three-season room.. Ive been watching this gazebo for over a year and finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale for memorial day. It took 2 days to assemble with 4 people and a supporting cast of 3 wives grilling and refilling water bottles and of course telling us what was being done incorrectly.lol. I will say the final product is beautiful, feels sturdy but won’t really know until, I use it more. I won’t lie, it was a mission to be built. I originally booked someone to build it, but my delivery didn’t come together as expected and one part was delivered late and I still had to pay for the build but couldn’t get it built and neeeded to do it myself. If you have 4-6 capable humans, you can get it done in 6-8 hours but I did it with 2 and it took 2 days and a half days. The half day, was because we had to peel the plastic off the roof pieces and they were stuck on due to the heat from transporting this item to me. I will say be very careful during that process we had a lot of cuts on our hands and legs from this process, it was unnecessarily dangerous. We got the frame up in one day, the roof in the other and then the nets and curtain. We added a fan but there isn’t really a structure to run the wiring for the fan, like hooks or anything, to bring it down to the Elric which was disappointing. We do love the color, and love the double nets, but can’t describe the logevitubof the final product as we’ve only had it up a week. We thing we like is at the top of the roof, there are bug guards in the vents of the roof to prevent bugs coming in, which I’ve seen others that don’t have this. We think we will love it, but beware. It is actually 13' 6" x 22', six inches less wide than described. The assembly instructions are more terrible than anticipated by my husband, who is a carpenter with more than 55 years of experience, and who also built our Dutch Colonial by himself from plans. He is smart and experienced. He thinks you'd be ok if you have built one of these before, but even if you are very handy, the instructions are written by somebody who has never built anything. It is beautiful, but hard to build, a lot of screws, which take an Alan wrench, all that could have been avoided with the use of buttons that click into place, but the worst part is the Curtains, the directions do not tell you how to put the curtains up, it took four times, with trial and error to figure out how to hang the curtains, if you buy one, you will know what I mean. But when it is built, it is so pretty, and cool inside, the neighbors have stopped speaking. That is when you know you have done good Just a tip, the heavy drapes go on the big bar with the tie strings in the outside, so you can tie the onto the poles with the seam Aligning with each pole The mosquito netting hangs on those smaller curtain rods, which angle out the wrong way to someone that doesn’t know what’s going on, I can zip them and place them on the small skinny curtain rods, making sure that the ties are facing toward the pole that ties them to the pole, And unzip them as you go, that’s pretty much it. Took two professionals 11 hands-on hours to complete. Instructions claiming it takes 3 hours is a said joke - takes 2 hours just to unpack all the parts and peel plastic coating off the roof panels. Maybe there’s a better way to design it or preassemble some so it doesn’t all fall on the customer. Bigger issue I have is that there are no covers for the hardware at the feet - pretty ugly. Great product we purchased the 12x20 said you will need 6 people for 14 hours, I did it in 16 hours by myself the only part I needed a quick hand with was putting up the 4 posts once I had those up I was off to the races directions were very clear few confusing parts but nothing that wasn't fixable, its sturdy and well built all screws lined up with pre tapped holes and it looks great at the campground, 3 hours after completing it we got a thunderstorm with heavy winds, we stayed dry under there, I was 100% leary of it coming from wayfair but I am impressed with it anyone complaining about it should just hire someone to build it because no issues seeing i did 98% of the building of it myself.. I absolutely love this gazebo. It did take up five people to put together. It comes in a lot of pieces, so just be prepared to try to read the instructions as best as you can, but it will come together. Do y’all need parts for the gazebo like tools. You’re gonna need some tools like we had to have a alley wrench a hammer and a couple more things but we did get it put up as you can see. My family absolutely loves sitting in here and have a family time but sometimes when I just need to get away, this is where I had off to. It came in three boxes. It’s really nice! Got a professional to put it together and it took a long time and some extra tools from the hardware store to get it the way we wanted it.
