I put it together myself and only had to re-do one shelf - in other words, the directions were very good because I am horrible at furniture assembly. I used an electric screwdriver set on low (not a drill) and it made things go a lot faster and easier on the hands as there ARE a lot of screws. Seems quite sturdy. I would buy again.. Obxorbust.
