I bought this for my balcony and just now assembled. The wood is nice quality from what I can tell, but more importantly, this thing is very well designed for a flatpack bench/sofa. The cushions are incredibly comfortable, too! It's nice and wide, it feels so good to lie down on. The description recommends treating and sealing the wood, by the way. Before I put the cushions on, I mixed a mixture of 1:1.5 beeswax and mineral oil, and with gloves on, painted this onto every surface of the wood. I went in with a hairdryer after and melted this wax into the pores of the wood, wiping with a rag as I went to soak up excess. I finished with a good rub of mineral oil on top and wiped all excess. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! Get this one from Fleur De Lis Living. It is less expensive than other ones listed on Wayfair from different vendors, and it is the exact same bench. After researching many benches I chose this one because it is Cast Aluminum which makes it more resistant to rusting. It is large, heavy and will hold up to 3 average sized adults. It will be sitting on our river and won't fall over in the wind. My husband and I (in our 70's) put it together in an hour. Nothing was missing from the box. You will want to use a real wrench though because the included one is too flimsy. The bench came quickly and was well-packaged. It's a pretty soft black with just a touch of bronzing. I was concerned it would come in real bronzy looking; it's not. I have nothing at all to complain about. We love it and can't wait for Spring and start putting it to good use. With the provided hardware, I assembled it by myself in 30 minutes. A rubber mallet and a bit driver would have cut that time in half because the tabs on the planter are a very tight fit and I'm not sure I got the screws into the bench far enough by hand - in the photo mine are on the left compared to the factory installed on the right. Not sure there's room to use a bit driver, as shown, but I'm gonna try to get them in further. Also pictured are a spot of glue on one panel and some possible mildew that both came off easily using disinfecting wipes without effecting the finish and mildew hasn't returned in the week since I built it. Also worth noting is that there are no bolts holding the bench to the planter. I'll be adding some but it does seem sturdy enough as is and offers the option to do a custom configuration if you buy more than one. Overall though, it's exactly as described and I love it!. Kara. Great purchase—I’m so glad I chose this glider! I spent two days searching Wayfair for the right outdoor seating, and this one did not disappoint. It’s lightweight enough that I could move the box when it was delivered myself, but the glider feels very sturdy once assembled. I had a Wayfair Pro put it together, and Carl did a fantastic job—it was assembled in less than an hour. I love the size. It’s perfect for two people, and even my dog enjoys it! The cushion looks thin but is surprisingly comfortable, and the seat is also a great size if you want to swap it out for a thicker bench cushion. The glide feels a little tight right now, but I expect it will loosen with use. I also love the natural, slightly piney smell of the wood. Since mine will be outdoors year-round, I’m interested to see how the wood holds up over time. Overall, this is a comfortable, sturdy, well-sized glider that looks great on my patio. Solid outdoor bench. Assembly was fast and easy. The top part of the bench feels solid and heavy duty. The legs are hollow and feel light and thin.
